SEEE Homestay offers three types of homestays or homestay accommodations with Chinese host families. They are Chinese language and culture learning motivated homestay, Language teaching oriented homestay, and holiday only homestay.

1、CHINESE LANGUAGE AND CULTURE HOMESTAYS are most suitable for students or individuals whose purposes of doing homestay programs are based on learning Chinese language, practicing everyday Chinese conversation and know more about Chinese culture.

Most Chinese host families reviewed and screened by SEEE are well-educated people such as government officials, successful business men, and professionals who are more likely to help you learn Chinese language. While living the friendly Chinese families, you will find yourself totally immerged in the authentic Chinese speaking environment and your Chinese communicative skills improved rapidly in the shortest time!

However, since the communicative language you speak in the Chinese host family is Chinese; and you do not take the responsibilities of teaching English or any other languages to your hosts, you have to pay the host families a affordable rent ranged from 1000RMB (122$) to 2500RMB (305$) monthly according to such environmental factors as the location, surrounding facilities, decoration of the house and so on.

2、ENGLISH AND OTHER LANGUAGES TEACHING HOMESTAYS provide you good opportunities to take up language teaching as a career. Besides English language native speakers, we also place other potential students or individuals whose native languages are not English but French, Germany, Spanish, Italian, Japanese and Korean etc.

In this type of homestay, most hosts are middle-aged couples who want to improve their child’s English; some may be university graduates who are planning to go abroad, still some others are white-collar workers working in international business and seek to improve their understanding of western cultures. You may give them private language tutorial lesson for an hour per day, or five- hour private lessons per week.

Therefore, the rent is totally for free during your entire stay with the host Chinese families. Some families may provide you meals if you would like to have typical Chinese food with them. This is of course, an ideal accommodation for those who want to save money while enjoy the experience of teaching.

3、HOLIDAY HOMESTAY is suitable for students or visitors who would like to stay in China for a short period of time. It’s an ideal option for those who want to visit attractions, to experience the Chinese culture, traditions and lifestyle. It is particularly popular in the summer, Christmas holidays and spring break. Like ENGLISH AND OTHER LANGUAGES TEACHING HOMESTAYS, you would be willing to give one-hour tutoring lesson per day or five-hour lessons per week in return for their rent –free room, meals, lodging, transportation, impromptu tour guides, etc.
